When I had an idea for a new product, I knew it would need to be made from some type of plastic. After years of experience in the aerospace industry I was familiar with design engineering and manufacturing of a number of different products and materials but never with plastics. Tom Haase of ATI Plastics became my Project Engineer and was the eminent professional in every way. He is knowledgeable, professional, thorough, courteous and respectful. He added value to my product by understanding its end use and was thus able at times to suggest enhancements and target markets I had not thought of. He stayed in touch and communicated with me so that I never felt that my project was dragging out or less important than any other. Tom has a large source of suppliers both on-shore and off-shore for materials and manufacturing of those items that fall outside of his business. With both the rapid prototype and final part production, all parts, materials, and tooling were on time and on budget with the quotes I had been given. I am currently designing another product and will ask Tom to project engineer this one for me too.
